Apple recently launched its long anticipated Apple tv+ streaming service available through Apple tv on November 1st. Headlining the company’s foray into digital content and storytelling is a star-studded hour-long drama titled “The Morning Show” featuring Jennifer Aniston (Friends, Murder Mystery) and Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde, Walk the Line and Cruel Intentions) facing off as the two anchors of a daily morning news show.

Just $4.99 per Month and Free for One Year for New Apple Product Purchases

Affordably priced at just $4.99 per month for a family subscription, coming in lower than Netflix’s existing $8.99 per month for an individual user and up to $16.99 for a larger family with multi-use options, and lower than the new Disney+ at $7.99 per month, Apple tv+ puts Apple squarely in the middle of the content streaming wars dominated by bigger players. Also any Apple customer who purchases a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch or Mac can enjoy one free year of service.

Apple TV+ debuted with seven shows only but features all original content free of ads. The lineup includes The Morning Show, See, Helpsters, Ghostwriter, Snoopy in Space, For All Mankind and Dickinson. Read our prior coverage of the shows, Part 1 and Part 2.

Apple also included a nice little bonus — the first two episodes of every launch series are available for free for anyone using the Apple TV app without the need for a subscription or signing up for a free trial.
